Bolin Creek Greenway Loop

6.9 miles on Carrboro and Chapel Hill roads and bike paths

Approximately 2 miles of this route are on greenway, of which 0.5 mi are on the Carrboro Bike Path and 1.5 mi on the Bolin Creek bike path between Airport Rd near the Hillsboro St junction and The Chapel Hill Community Part near E Franklin St junction with Estes Dr. (Note: bear in mind that distances along the bike paths are only estimates.) 0.4 mile of the course is on E Franklin St. and 0.4 mile is on Airport Rd both of which contain sidewalks for safe running. The remainder of this course follows quite Chapel Hill and Carrboro roads. The course contains few gentle hills and one challenging hill located on Hillview Rd. The Hillview hill is particularly challenging if you run the course clockwise. During the hot summer days, if you did not feel like carrying your water, take a right turn at Dickerson Rd instead and head for the nearby Chapel Hill Community Park for a drink from one of its water fountains. The park building is merely 0.2 miles away.
