Hey! What's the scoop on the Blue Ridge Relay?? Is the CTC organizing a team? Has anyone in the club run that before? Any interest? Joe

Hmmm... I've heard of this and had an invite a couple of years ago to join a team. It's pretty interesting and sounds fun! Here's a link to some more details:

Here's a list of the folks so far who are interested in being part of the CTC Blue Ridge Relay Team (so far): 1) Joe -- I'm assuming he is since he started the thread
2) Jon van Ark (me)
3) Gwen van Ark
4) Amy Wollish
5) Jolyn
6) Jolyn's hubby
7) Dave Hardy A requirement to be on this team is to be a CTC member. So, if you are interested and not a CTC member --> go to the membership page and fix that :-)

One more person that's indicated an interest is Jovian. As an additional tidbit, I think we also need drivers and vehicles to transport the folks that are running from location to location. So, if the event intrigues you but your not ready to run that much, you could sign up as a driver. jon

Joe -- I'm putting together an email list for those folks that are interested in doing the Blue Ridge Relay. Please go to the "Contact Us" form and send me your full name and email address. There are a number of things we as a group need to discuss pretty quickly here so we can get our application filled in. -- jon

Did CTC get a team together? Godiva has a male masters team, Trailheads have a mixed team and we have a mixed team. We are looking for 1 or 2 others to join our team to make a full team of 12. We had 12, but due to injuries, etc. we have had to replace 5. We currently have 2 men, 8 women and one other possible male. We are happy to have men or women of any level. We will run hard of course, but as in past relays, it is more about having fun and encouraging our teammates, than winning. If interested contact me at RodJKnight@aol.com.
