This annual Thanksgiving race has been named to recognize the race founder, long-time Carrboro resident, and previous owner of Fleet Feet Sports Carrboro,  Bobby Biles (now residing in Albuquerque, NM).

 1) Click here for online registration. Online registration will close on Monday evening, November 23.

  2) Fill out paper registration form and drop off at Fleet Feet Sports in Carrboro.

 3) In person at Fleet Feet Sports Carrboro (cash or check only) on

• Tuesday, Nov. 24 , 4 - 7 pm
• Wednesday, Nov. 25, 10 am -- 7 pm

 4) On race-day at Fleet Feet Sports Carrboro from 6:30 --7:30 am. (cash or check only)

• 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, and
• 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on  Wednesday, November 25. 

All packets will also be available for pickup on race-day from 6:45 -- 7:45 a.m.

Race Socks are guaranteed to the first 1300 registrants and will be given out at packet pickup along with your race numbers

Awards for the top 3 Men & Women in the following categories:

• Open and Masters (40+ years old)
• Age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70+

* Open and Masters winners are not eligible for age group prizes

Standing prize money for course records, male and female, is  $50. 

• Current G&G records: Male: 24:49 (Jason Jabaut, 2006) and Female: 26:20 (Shalane Flanagan, 2008)

• The proceeds from the 3-race series, Le Tour de Carrboro, are distributed to our 2009 Community Partner Organizations: Arc of Orange County ,  El Centro Latino,  Optimist Club of Chapel Hill, and Orange County Rape Crisis Center.
• As in years past, we would like to ask all registered runners to bring a canned good on race morning to donate to the Inter-Faith Council Food Pantry

Little Turkey Kids Races are FREE to all kids and will be held near the race start after the 8K race (around 9:20 am)
    2-3 year olds   =   50 meters
    4-5 year olds   = 100 meters
    6-7 year olds   = 200 meters
    8-10 year olds = 400 meters

Listen for announcements around 9:00 am to sign up your kids for the races.

And while the "big" race is going on, there will be activities for the kids, starting at 8 am near the 8K finish line -- a "picture" Scavenger Hunt, outdoor games, jump ropes, hula hoops, and more!

• Inline and roller skates, baby joggers, headphones, and pets are not allowed. 

• All bib numbers must be clearly visible on the front of participants at all times during the race.
  

The above is included in the race waiver that each participant must sign. These rules are in place due to our RRCA Insurance Policy. Therefore, we must ask that all participants obey all of these and any other rules.

Stay on the course! The USATF-certified course runs in the bike lanes, not on the left side of the road. More info coming on the course restrictions.

Walkers are welcome! Please be aware that you become a pedestrian and need to take appropriate safety precautions when the trailing police car passes you. The course will close at approximately 9:15 am.

Bib timing is based on RFID technology. The chip enclosed in the pouch on the back of your bib will positively identify YOU and your elapsed TIME as you run through the finish gate at the finish line. Please remember several things about this chip:

1. Leave the chip in the pouch until you finish the race.

2. Attach the bib to the front of your shirt, using 4 safety pins and the 4 holes at the corners of your bib.

3. Do NOT fold the bib and chip.

4. Do NOT pin the bib to the side of your shirt or shorts.

5. As you leave the corral area after passing the finish line, slip your bib chip out of the pouch and deposit it into one of the recycle bins in the finish area.
