Four on the Fourth


Four on the Fourth is a 4 mile run through the streets of Carrboro, and is the kickoff event for Le Tour de Carrboro race series. Proceeds from the 3-race series will be distributed to our 2011 Community Partner Organizations.

This year you can sign up for Four on the Fourth ($30), or all 3 Le Tour races for $75.

Location and Course info

The race will start at 8 a.m. in front of McDougle Middle School, 900 Old Fayetteville Rd., Chapel Hill, NC 27516, and finish on the McDougle track.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 Overall and Masters (40+), male and female, and age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Open and Masters winners are not eligible for age group awards.

Standing prize money for course records, male and female: $50

Packet Pickup



  • Fleet Feet Sports Carrboro on Saturday, July 2, 10 am - 6 pm, and Sunday, July 3, 12 pm - 5 pm., OR
  • Race day morning at McDougle Middle School, 6:30-7:30 am.

       New race swag this year -- logo'd pint glass for all registrants!

For the Kids

"Little Firecracker" races are FREE for children aged 2-9 and will be held at the McDougle Track after Four on the Fourth. Participants will be divided into age groups 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 and will race on the McDougle Track. All kids will receive finisher ribbons.

And for the whole family, make sure to check out the pre-race activity area and enjoy chalk drawing, bean bag toss, hula hoops, balance games, and NEW this year we'll have an inflatable obstacle course!

Registration is not required, but parents must sign a waiver form before the kids races.

Timing

New this year -- we're switching to ChronoTrack Systems with the single use B-Tag as our timing device.
